Entrya develops and manufactures videophones and access control systems, but works with professional installers for installation and service. For repairs, warranty or technical questions, it is therefore best to contact your installer – they will be happy to help you.

FAQ: EntraSYSTEM4

What is the difference between Basic mode and Cloud mode?

In Basic mode, you can program one controller with a connected code keyboard through that same code keyboard (or manage it through the app – with wifi). The controller does not require an internet connection. Basic mode is suitable for installations where there are only a few users and a maximum of two gates/doors. Adjusting codes is not often done, so management is optional rather than required. To manage via the app, you must be within wifi range of the controller.

In Cloud mode, you can install multiple controllers with and without a code keyboard. The controllers require an Internet connection. Cloud mode is suitable for installations where there are multiple users and multiple doors. Where there is a need for timetables, automatic switching user groups. Adjusting user rights is done regularly and easy management is an essential part of the installation.

Is the ES4 compatible with other Entrya products?

The EntraSYSYTEM4 product line is not compatible with other Entrya products.

What is an ES4 controller?

The ES4 controller is the heart of any setup.

A smart piece of hardware – 100% developed and produced in Belgium – that allows you to achieve small, simple installations (Basic mode) or larger more complex installations (Cloud mode).

You can group controllers into single or multiple installations. You can manage access with or without a keypad and have the flexibility to securely access any application up to 500 users with the same controller.

The device functions without internet, as well as over wifi, LTE-M / 4G and Ethernet (RJ45). So it can also be easily installed in locations that are mobile (e.g., yard chains, events).

FAQ: Camera Surveillance

How long will the images be kept?

It depends on your storage method:

  • SD card: usually 3 to 14 days, depending on capacity and recording quality.

  • NAS or NVR: up to several weeks or months.

Can I view the images live on my smartphone?

Yes, most modern security cameras can be connected to an app that allows you to watch along live via your smartphone or tablet, receive notifications on motion and even watch recordings back.

Where can I purchase this camera surveillance?

Entrya’s camera surveillance solution is only available through professional installers. Please ask your installer to contact Seculux – exclusive distributor for the professional installer.

Can I point my camera at the street or neighbors?

According to the AVG/GDPR legislation, you may only film on your own property (driveway, garden, facade). Do not point your camera on public roads or on other people’s property, unless it is unavoidable and you clearly state this with a warning sign “Camera Surveillance.”

How does the camera work at night or in low light?

The camera is equipped with infrared (IR) or night vision technology, so images remain clear even in the dark. DualLight models also use color night vision, where a small LED light helps maintain natural colors.

Are the camera images protected from hackers?

Yes, provided the camera is set up properly. Always use a strong password, enable automatic firmware updates and connect via an encrypted connection (HTTPS or VPN). Cloud storage from reliable brands is usually well secured.

How do you install the EntraHOME?

Is an Internet connection required?

The EntraHOME requires a working wireless connection to the Cloud Server. This connection is made on TCP port 8883 so a Firewall rule may need to be created that allows this connection.

Without it, you can use the button on the device to switch the output. Or if a code keyboard is connected, users can use it if they are not linked to a time zone.

If no wireless Internet connection is available, you can connect using a 4G modem. This will create a WiFi hotspot and convert the data to a 4G mobile connection.

How are EntraHOME subscriptions applied?

Subscriptions are associated with the Apple/Google user who activated the subscription. If you share a user with several smart devices, the subscription is also available on all these smart devices.

But you cannot subscribe to one EntraHOME and share it with several Apple/Google users.

For example: you have one EntraHOME and two administrators. The first administrator has a PRO subscription, this administrator can manage up to 95 users and 5 administrators. The second administrator has no subscription, he or she can only use the free features in the app even though this administrator can change the EntraHOME’s settings.

How to change a WIFI connection in IOS?

In case the WiFi router was replaced, you can change the EntraHOME’s WiFi connection. Tap the Settings button and choose Change WiFi Access Point. Then follow the instructions on the various screens to change the WiFi connection.

How do you perform a reset to factory settings?

Tap the Settings button and select Load Factory Settings. Then follow the instructions in the following screens to restore factory settings.

How to copy a user/administrator to another device in IOS?

Generate a QR code in the app for the user/administrator (device A) you wish to copy/transfer.

Read the created QR code with the new device (device B).

 

What is EntraHOME?

EntraHOME is the previous generation of our access control system, on which EntraSYSTEM4 builds on.
The system offers reliable operation of gates and doors via the EntraHOME app.

Is EntraHOME still supported?

Sure! EntraHOME continues to be fully supported and the app continues to receive updates.
For new installations and purchases, however, please refer to EntraSYSTEM4, our newest and most comprehensive solution.
